PARTY lovers can expect a great time and travel back to the swinging 60's for the first Annual Sixties Weekend Party. It takes place at various venues in Nelspruit in Mpumalanga on October 30 and 31 and November 1.

PARTY lovers can expect a great time and travel back to the swinging 60's for the first Annual Sixties Weekend Party. It takes place at various venues in Nelspruit in Mpumalanga on October 30 and 31 and November 1.

The main event takes place on October 31 at Lowveld Agricultural College.

Among the DJ's who will entertain will be Fistaz, Sdunkero, Sbu, Mahoota vs Vetkoek, Cleo, Tira, C'Ndo, T-Bo Touch, China, Glen Lewis, Silly Bean and Dr Duda. Musicians include Rhythmic Elements and RJ Benjamin.

Sixties fashion such as Afros, stilettoes and goggles, and dances such as the twist will be the order of the day.

The fun starts on Friday October 30 at RMP Motors in Riverside . Glen Lewis, Marvin, Stax, Josh, Malankane, Joy Morales and many more will perform.

On November 1, a day after the Sixties Party's main event, people can wrap up the weekend of fun with the theme, Soul Sessions. This event will take place at Lowveld Botanical Gardens in Nelspruit.

DJs Wilson B Nkosi, Paul Mtirara, Eddie Zondie and Sweet-Mike will spin the discs.

This Sixties event will provide the city with an opportunity to unify its citizens with citizens of neighbouring countries to celebrate their rich cultural heritage.

Tickets are R50 for Friday and R80 for Saturday and Sunday at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers.
