SEVEN primary school rugby teams in Ekurhuleni will take part in the inaugural Boys Under-11 KO Challenge at Chris Hani Sports Centre in Etwatwa on Friday.

SEVEN primary school rugby teams in Ekurhuleni will take part in the inaugural Boys Under-11 KO Challenge at Chris Hani Sports Centre in Etwatwa on Friday.

The development tournament is hosted by the newly formed Etwatwa Schools Rugby Association and will be played under the auspices of the Falcons Rugby Union.

It is also funded by the union in a move to promote and develop the sport in the area, especially at primary school level.

The schools taking part are Zamukhanyo, Mpengezi, Rolihlahla, Tshipinoto, George Mbilase, Kgolakganyo and Dan Pharais.

This will be the association's first competition to be staged in Etwatwa since its establishment five months ago.

The games kick off at 9am.

Friday's fixtures: Rolihlahla v Mpengisi (9am), Zamukhanyo v Kgolakganyo (9.35am), Pharais v Tshipinoto (10.10am), Mbilase (bye).
