He was the last born child of a working class family that knew about poverty.
Lali started his schooling in Port Elizabeth, where he completed his primary school and part of his high school education. He then came to Gauteng where he passed his Grade 12.
He got more into political activities that he hoped would change his life and the lives of many others.
He joined the Socialist Party of Azania and took part in many of its activities.
But Lali was not only active in politics. From 2003 to last year he worked as a chef for BHP Billiton and was later employed by Tsa Africa in the same capacity.
Lali is survived by a son and four siblings. He will be buried on Saturday in Port Elizabeth, at Kwa-Zakhele village, Seyisi section, no 11438 Mahambehlala Street at 10am.
