THREE Mpumalanga regions - Enkangala, Gert Sibande and Ehlanzeni - will compete in this year's SA Local Government Association (Salga) games that kick off in Thulamahashe, Bushbuckridge, tomorrow.

THREE Mpumalanga regions - Enkangala, Gert Sibande and Ehlanzeni - will compete in this year's SA Local Government Association (Salga) games that kick off in Thulamahashe, Bushbuckridge, tomorrow.

Mandy Mthethwa, Salga programme manager for community development, said the objective of the games is to nurture talent.

She urged the community of Bushbuckridge and surrounding areas to attend the games in large numbers to turn the event into another success. The games get under way at 8am tomorrow and end on Sunday.

The codes on display include rugby, soccer, netball, volleyball, basketball and netball for both genders.

Ehlanzeni are the defending champions. The winners in each sporting code will take part in next month's interprovincial games.
