The last time Ajax played at Newlands was against Kaizer Chiefs and the Soweto side tore the Urban Warriors to shreds with a 3-0 drubbing, but Ajax have vowed to win Sunday's match.
"We have been training very hard and so far everything has been going well. The mood among the guys is high and there is just a lot of positivity around the dressing room," captain Brett Evans said.
"Our national Under-20 players are also back and everyone will be fighting to start on Sunday."
Evans said the departure of Ertugral was a setback but that life has to go on.
"Hearing the news of Muhsin's departure was really tough for us. It was disappointing to see him go, but these things happen in football and we just have to make the best of the situation and get on with it.
"We have all moved on and set our sights on Celtic and I'm really confident of getting a good result against them on Sunday," he said.
Celtic have been riding the crest of the wave as they remain unbeaten in the league and word from their camp is that they intend keeping it that way.
"All the players are working hard and the fact that we haven't lost a game yet is not putting us under pressure. We are all going there to work hard and to compete," said Celtic striker Darrel Smith.
Smith, who predicted a 2-1 victory for Celtic, said going back to Cape Town will be emotional for him but he will put his emotions aside and focus on winning the match for his club.
