HOME advantage should give Lamontville Golden Arrows the edge over Bidvest Wits in an Absa Premiership game at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday.

Kickoff is at 3.30pm.

Arrows are eager to improve their eighth spot on the log at the expense of the unbeaten Wits, who are two points behind log leaders Orlando Pirates in second place.

An Arrows win will also be a huge boost ahead of the MTN8 Cup final against Ajax Cape Town at Orlando Stadium next Saturday (October 24).

Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi told Sowetan yesterday: "We are happy so far about the performance of the team.

"We are looking forward to a stiff and exciting game against the skilful Wits, who started the season superbly.

"We have done very well against them in the past and believe we still are capable of doing that again.''

Wits's leading goal scorer, Calvin Kadi, said it is always tough to play Arrows in their own nest.

"Make no mistake, Arrows are a hard nut to crack at home. They are playing a clean, entertaining and attacking brand of soccer.

"But as soldiers, we are ready to match them in all departments and hope to use available chances effectively," said the skilful Kadi.

Arrows will welcome back striker Richard Henyekane and defender Siyabonga Sangweni, who featured for Bafana Bafana in recent international friendlies.
