They said since the tavern was opened several years ago, they could not sleep peacefully at night because of loud music and patrons who constantly fought in the streets outside their houses.
They alleged that some of the youngsters jumped into their yards during their drunken binges.
They said some of the men from the tavern engaged in public indecency as they usually had sex with female patrons in car boots and bonnets in the parking area outside the tavern.
Residents also claimed that crime was on the increase each day in sections around the shebeen as even innocent women ended up becoming victims of drunk men.
They also claimed that some of the teenagers broke into their houses to steal valuable items to sell to get money to buy alcohol.
Residents who wanted to remain anonymous told Sowetan that they have approached Maake police for intervention, "but they were not willing to assist".
"We sometimes fear to walk the streets near the tavern as we fear that drunken youngsters might rob us," said one resident.
Residents said they wanted police to provide a regular patrol around the area at night.
Some of the parents allege that matric students living next to the tavern are struggling to concentrate as they prepare for the year-end examinations.
Limpopo police spokesperson Superintendent Ronnel Otto admitted that they had received several complaints related to the tavern.
However, Otto said it was hard to instruct the business to close earlier because their licence allows them to operate until 2am. She claimed police had regularly been patrolling the area since they received complaints.
