Shakoane warns of scramble for Atteridgeville seats

ONE of the Absa Premiership's biggest clashes - the Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs match - takes place this Saturday at Atteridgeville's Super Stadium.

ONE of the Absa Premiership's biggest clashes - the Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs match - takes place this Saturday at Atteridgeville's Super Stadium.

The size of the stadium is a problem, particularly given the restored Amakhosi support base. Sundowns spokesperson Alex Shakoane has urged home fans to buy tickets at once, as those without tickets will not be allowed near the stadium.

"Our supporters must realise that there is a danger of tickets running out, and Chiefs fans will be only too happy to claim them. We are not selling tickets at the stadium, and if you do not have one, security will not allow you within 500m."

Asked why a category A fixture was scheduled for a venue with a capacity of 22000, PSL general manager Andile Ncobo said the Super was a Downs-nominated home ground.
