Bail date set for 'masterminds'

THREE British nationals and three South Africans, accused of being the masterminds behind an international drugs syndicate, will make their bail applications on November 17.

THREE British nationals and three South Africans, accused of being the masterminds behind an international drugs syndicate, will make their bail applications on November 17.

Britons Paul Bromley, Paul Beazley and John Beazley and three local citizens - Perumal Naidoo, Morgan Athan Nadasen and Gopal Ganesh - were arrested when drugs worth R600million were seized in Durban and the UK.

They all briefly appeared in the Verulam magistrate's court yesterday, where a date for their bail application was set.

They face seven counts of drug dealing. - Sapa
