ISAAC "Golden Boy" Chilemba may have been somewhat sluggish when he won the WBO Africa light heavyweight title against David Kitooke in June, but he is likely to be a different fighter in his forthcoming fight against Doudou Ngumbu.

He takes on the 27-year-old Congolese at Emperors Palace for the WBC International light heavyweight belt on October 31.

Ngumbu, who is based in France, has always been the man to fight Chilemba.

Chilemba did not look good when he beat Kitooke and this could have caused by the change of opponent.

He was initially pencilled in to fight Douglas Otieno, but was replaced by Kitooke. Chilemba, 23, should impress against Ngumbu because he had ample time to prepare for the fight.

Chilemba will fight Ngumbu at the venue where the former poleaxed Zimbabwean Chamunorwa Gonorenda in the fourth round in July last year.

Chilemba's manager Jodi Solomons said: "He trains four to six hours a day. He is fit and raring to go and I don't think Ngumbu will beat him."

Ngumbu, a closed book to locals, is undefeated after 20 fights. Chilemba has one defeat fight against 12 wins.

Trainer Colin Nathan shared Solomon's sentiments but warned that "Chilemba will have to be on top of his game to beat Ngumbu. I saw his fights on video . he's a very good fighter."

Also to make an appearance on the night is Mlungisi "The Shark" Dlamini against Zolani "Untouchable" Marali for the IBO lightweight vacant title.

Dlamini, the charismatic fighter from Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, holds the WBF belt, while Marali from Mdantsane is crownless.

Meanwhile, on the same bill, Thomas "Tommy Gun" Oosthuizen, the left-handed lanky fighter, the current IBO and WBA Africa youth titleholder, will challenge Tshepang Mohale for the national super middleweight belt.

Oosthuizen, 22, who is under trainer Harold Volbrecht, won both the IBO and WBA African youth belts this year. Fight fans must brace themselves for a night of potentially explosive fights.
