GRIQUAS skipper Jonathan Mokuena will lead his side against defending champions the Sharks in their last fixture of the Absa Currie Cup round robin stage in Kimberley tomorrow at 3pm.

Mokuena, the former SA Sevens captain, survived suspension after accumulating three yellow cards in different matches in one season. He was cleared of misconduct by a Saru disciplinary hearing on Wednesday.

"I am happy that I was cleared to participate in this week's make-or-break tie. I am determined and focused to lead the troops to a mini-war against the Sharks," he said.

Griquas need a minimum of two points to advance to next week's semifinals. They lie third on the log with 39 points, four points ahead of the Cheetahs, who will play struggling Boland in Wellington tomorrow .

Springbok captain John Smit returns to the Sharks starting line-up at tighthead with Riaan Swanepoel and Adi Jacobs forming a formidable midfield combination.
