FIFTEENTH-placed Absa Premiership club Platinum Stars are in trouble, but coach Steve Komphela has denied claims thathe is on his way out.

Komphela says turning around results requires more than just a couple of matches.

First, there has to be unity, something the North West team has lacked. In addition to technical issues some have pointed to divisions within the club.

Komphela said: "I believe in challenges. I did not come here to be showered with praise. I acknowledge the pressure, but rebuilding a team is an unbelievably challenging process that requires patience and optimism."

Meanwhile, Dillon Sheppard is still injured while Jabu Mahlangu is recovering from a knock he picked up against Jomo Cosmos.
