Tony Ngwenya, the Assa leader, was buried in Johannesburg in September.
The service will be held at the Anglican Church in Maseru Street, Meadowlands Zone 7, tomorrow from 12.30pm to 2pm.
The Assa chief executive became synonymous with all the society's campaigns throughout South Africa.
The baton has now been left in the capable hands of his sister and Assa president Nomasonto Mazibuko, pictured.
Ngwenya and Mazibuko were tireless crusaders for the quashing of superstitions and misinformation about albinism.
One of Assa's most prominent advocacy campaigns is the yearly National Schools Essay Competition. Assa runs the competition in association with Sowetan, the Aggrey Klaaste Nation Building Foundation, the Department of Education, Department of Health, the Transnet Foundation and the Development Bank of Southern Africa.
Through the contest, which is open to high school students, we have been able to enlist the active involvement of the youth in ensuring that albinism is understood as a manageable condition.
