Last Friday at midnight he passed on at a private clinic from multi-organ failure. He had been in intensive care for four weeks.
He attended school at Mamelodi High where he cultivated his passion for performance drama and produced Dirty Minds. In exile he led a troupe with his production, Crux, to mobilise the international community against settler colonialism and apartheid.
He was the late Thobile Gola's second in command in the PAC's administration duties. In 1984 he was deployed to the education desk and he arranged scholarships for many who are now public officials.
He joined the Special Pension office in the Government Employees Pension Fund as a vetting officer.
His funeral service will be held at the NG Kerk in Silverton, Pretoria, tomorrow from 7am. The cortege will leave for the Mandela Cemetery in Mamelodi East at 9am.
