THE Leopards have made a number of changes to the team that will engage the Blue Bulls in their final Absa Currie Cup Premier fixture in Rustenburg tomorrow at 7.10pm.

Chaka Willemse, the Leopards coach, has rested several regular players for tomorrow's game to give others game time.

Willemse will field a virtually brand new backline. Fullback Danie Dames and centre Deon van Rensburg are some of the players who will watch the game from the stand.

He will also test a new midfield combination of Japie Nel and Jovan Bowles, who steps in to fill the void left by Van Rensburg.

Flyhalf Cecil Dumond and left wing Bom Samaai are the only survivors of the backline that played against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein last weekend.

Willemse's changes are a clear indication that he has set his sights on the relegation and promotion playoffs in two weeks' time.

They will be joined by fellow Premier Division strugglers the Boland Cavaliers and two First Division sides, with the Pumas and SWD Eagles among the favourites.

In tomorrow's game, the Bulls are expected to consolidate their third spot on the log at the expense of the seventh-placed Leopards.

The Leopards are second from the bottom of the log with six points from 13 games, a point ahead the Cavaliers.
