LONDON - England goalkeeper David James said his team won't be taking it easy against Ukraine and Belarus in World Cup qualifying, even though they have already made the cut for next year's tournament in South Africa.

LONDON - England goalkeeper David James said his team won't be taking it easy against Ukraine and Belarus in World Cup qualifying, even though they have already made the cut for next year's tournament in South Africa.

England's 5-1 win over Group 6 contenders Croatia made it eight out of eight, and now the team is out to try and make it 10 straight qualifying victories under Fabio Capello.

"Mr Capello has made it very clear we have to improve on the last performance," James said yesterday, ahead of Saturday's game in Ukraine.

"As tough as it will be, we will be going there to win. We want to continue the progress of England as a footballing team."

After facing Ukraine, England return home to take on Belarus at Wembley Stadium in London next Wednesday. - Sapa-AP
