BLUE Bulls skipper Victor Matfield said yesterday he would like to see his team ending the Absa Currie Cup round robin stage on an impressive note.

The Pretoria side face the lowly Leopards at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace in Rustenburg on Friday night. Matfield said they were eager to win the last game of the season.

"We have worked tirelessly to win the match and all the players are focused and looking forward to finishing the taxing competition on a positive note," Matfield said.

He admitted that the absence of injured wing Bryan Habana was a major setback. But he has confidence in the rest of the players, whom he believes are capable of winning the encounter.

Lock Bakkies Botha and scrumhalf Fourie du Preez are back after missing Saturday's match due to injuries. Botha will play in the second row next to Matfield, while Du Preez will start the game from the bench.
