I WARNED people about communists and their loud-mouthed allies taking over the ANC.

I said communists never contest elections on their own because they never win. They manipulate their way to the top and usurp power. Once that happens it's the end of democracy.

They flood the judiciary with incompetent loyalists, hound the independent media, replace reality with rhetoric, stifle private enterprise and lower education standards so that people do not become too clever and question them.

They introduce higher taxes, repeat lies until people believe them, kill public debate by labeling opponents anti-revolutionary and shamelessly monopolise poverty alleviation programmes. They question the Constitution and individual rights. They try to discredit or remove all levels of government to have a unitary state where corruption is limited to loyalists on a grand scale. They are enemies of democracy.

We have witnessed gutter politics by the ANC Youth League, driven by the communists to get rid of Thabo Mbeki. They have left the nation with a hollow morality. Thieves, liars, convicted felons and fraudsters, cheats and corrupt individuals are seen as heroes. They and their allies in Cosatu and the youth league push the agenda.

We are probably the only democracy where people still talk so romantically about a failed, corrupt, undemocratic, murderous system. Somebody please start an anti-communist movement to educate citizens about its dangers. I will be the first member.
