Carrim said this yesterday after Minister Sicelo Shiceka's statement earlier in the week that the government was thinking of equalising the salaries of councillors and MPs.
Carrim said the debate was still in "the very early stages" . and the government was "acutely mindful of budgetary constraints". - Anna Majavu
