NEW local government watchdogs are set to swoop on municipalities with bad track records in service delivery.

Mahlalela and Themba Godi, chairperson of Parliament's standing committee on public accounts, announced yesterday that public accounts committees in Parliament would also work with the police to ensure that criminal cases involving corrupt government officials are pursued. - Anna Majavu
