TWO Nigerian men are expected to appear in the Germiston magistrate's court today to face charges of fraud after police allegedly found them with more than hundred Nigerian passports.

"Police also found in their possession fake marriage certificates, false immigration appointment letters - as well as application forms for work and permanent residence permits in South Africa," said Hawks spokesperson Musa Zondi.

He said the two suspects were arrested on Tuesday at a block of flats in Germiston after a tip-off.

"This was after the responsible citizen's suspicions were raised and when police responded they found 141 Nigerian passports in the flat."

Zondi encouraged the public to report any suspicious activities. "It is only through everyone's participation that police will make a huge dent in the war against crime." - Mfundekelwa Mkhulisi
