NOMSA Mahlangu is the only woman elected to serve on the new executive of the South African Football Association.

Mahlangu, who has been involved in amateur soccer administration for some time, works for the University of Free State's department of sports and recreation's outreach programmes.

She is also an executive committee member of University Sport South Africa and has also served Safa as a member of the women's soccer committee.

In the year 2000 Mahlangu was a member of the local organising committee for the African Women's Championships in Vosloorus.

Mahlangu is one of the six members elected from the national list.

Others are former Central Karoo District Municipality manager Truman Prince, Alpha Mchunu, Sam Masitenyane, Henry Mosese and Aubrey Baartman.

The nine elected provincial representatives are Andile Ndengezi (Eastern Cape), Elvis Sishana (Western Cape), Mzwandile Maforvane (Free State), Xolani Mtumtum (Gauteng), Lucas Nhlapo (Limpopo), Fanyana Sibanyoni (Mpumalanga), Buti Lerefolo (North West), Jan Koopman (Northern Cape) and Velaphi Kubeka (Kwazulu Natal).

Meanwhile, Safa will call a meeting to amend the constitution, which will see the provincial representatives increased to two and the six elected members from national list will stand at eight.
