A 38-YEAR-OLD man, who shot and killed his girlfriend at Mushiyane Village outside Giyani in Limpopo, was found hanged in the bushes outside the village at the weekend.
A 38-YEAR-OLD man, who shot and killed his girlfriend at Mushiyane Village outside Giyani in Limpopo, was found hanged in the bushes outside the village at the weekend.
He shot his former girlfriend, Salva Nkuna, 34, at her home in the village last week and later escaped into the bushes in the night.
A search was launched for him but his body was found at the weekend.
He was identified as Peter Mokgalaka.
Giyani police spokesperson Inspector Magezi Makhubele said Mokgalaka allegedly went to see his former girlfriend at her house to ask for forgiveness after the two had separated.
Makhubele said the suspect allegedly produced a firearm and shot the woman in the head, killing her instantly.
He said an inquest had been opened over a urder case.
