Zuma attends UN Assembly

PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma arrived in New York yesterday to attend the 64th session of the UN General Assembly.

PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma arrived in New York yesterday to attend the 64th session of the UN General Assembly.

"Today (yesterday) the president will attend a luncheon hosted by US President Barack Obama with heads of state from sub-Saharan Africa," said spokesperson Zingaphi Jakuja.

This year's Assembly will be held under the banner "Effective responses to global crises; strengthening multilateralism and dialogue among civilisations for international peace; security and development". - Sapa
