Presidential hotline is a last resort

I wish to warmly welcome the steps that have been taken by the government to improve service delivery. They should be commended for confronting the challenges of service delivery in the country.

I wish to warmly welcome the steps that have been taken by the government to improve service delivery. They should be commended for confronting the challenges of service delivery in the country.

With the planning commission, the Monitoring and Evaluation Ministry and the public service commission undertaking their mandates fully, one hopes that public service will be enhanced.

It is really inspiring to see the introduction of the presidential hotline, which will also help to measure citizen satisfaction or dissatisfaction as far as services and delivery are concerned.

But everyone concerned must make sure that all these efforts of the government do not turn out to be a waste of state funds. The public must be urged to first pursue local and provincial complaints structures before calling the presidential hotline.
