They are scheduled to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, on Monday to raise funds for the Nkosi Trust Fund.
Nkosi's Haven is named in honour of Nkosi Johnson who died in 2001 of an Aids-related disease.
The centre is home to Aids orphans, HIV-infected children and adults.
The siblings have their goals for the future clearly planned out.
Ayanda is a first-year Information Technology student, plays soccer for his college team as well as tennis in his free time.
He also hopes to continue mountain climbing with Mount Everest, in Nepal at the top of his list.
Sanele is in Grade 11 at the United Church School in Yeoville, Johannesburg. He wants to explore a career in the media or as a lawyer.
When asked about the training they have undergone in preparation for the climb, Sanele said: "We have been on camps to Magaliesburg and the Drakensberg, but Lesotho was the coldest and hardest of all."
They have also had training on walking and breathing methods.
The siblings came to the haven in 2001 when their mother fell ill and was no longer able to take care of them and pay for their school fees.
"We missed a whole year of school, but since we came to Nkosi's Haven we were able to go to school and learn about computers. We aim to raise R500000 for the centre that changed our lives," said Ayanda.
