If in the past people complained about a lack of variety in terms of programming at the festival, they certainly have no reason to do so this year. This applies especially to gospel fans.
The programme director must certainly be a gospel lover, or his musical advisers are. How else does one explain the dominance of gospel artists at the festival? And make no mistake. This is not a complaint but a compliment.
Leading the gospel giants at Macufe is none other than US gospel star Kirk Franklin, who will do his first performance in the Free State. He has performed on a number of occasions in the country in the past.
Franklin will perform on Sunday, October 4 at the Loch Logan Rose Garden in Bloemfontein.
The Texan will not be alone though. The festival features a powerful line-up of South African gospel stars that include:

Injecting a vigorous and youthful excitement to "faith-walking", Franklin makes it cool to become a Christian, placing his godly messages with the same powerful effect as other urban pop music performers.
Over the last 14 years he has released hits such as Stomp; Whatcha Lookin For, Looking for You; Revolution; and Lean on Me, among others.
The festival is bound to be a crowd pleaser.
