THE Limpopo department of agriculture is making an assessment of the damage caused by the raging fires that destroyed large parts of grazing land between Mookgophong and the Modimolle area.

THE Limpopo department of agriculture is making an assessment of the damage caused by the raging fires that destroyed large parts of grazing land between Mookgophong and the Modimolle area.

A team from the disaster management centre has been sent to establish the extent of the damage caused by the fire.

The fire raged for two days and left many livestock farmers withoutgrazing land.

Department spokesperson Thembi Makhuvele said: " After the assessment, the department will be able to provide the farmers with a temporary relief like fodder."
