"FEEBLE" questions posed by Sonke Gender Justice Network lawyer, Chris Todd, at the Equality Court in Johannesburg yesterday disappointed ANCYL president Julius Malema.
Malema told members of the youth league who gathered at the court that the proceedings were a waste of time.
"There is nothing to tell you about this court because we are attending to useless accusations.
"We are called here to be questioned by some weak lawyer. The people who are accusing us must be disappointed by their lawyer because he is a very weak lawyer," said Malema.
He said people who wanted to question utterances he made at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in January about the woman who accused President Jacob Zuma of rape should question the judgment.
Malema stood firm on his defence that the comments he made about the rape accuser were not a general comment on rape victims.
The Sonke Gender Justice Network is accusing Malema of perpetuating stereotype about rape victims.
The network wants Malema to apologise and donate R50000 to a shelter of abused women.
Malema told the court that he could not be accused of perpetuating rape myths and undermining the struggle for women emancipation.
"We are children of women and some of us were raised by single women, and they continue to play an important role in our lives. Politically we were mentored by a fearless woman called Winnie Madikizela-Mandela."
He said he was disappointed that the network chose to take him to court even though ANC general secretary Gwede Mantashe had approached them with a view of settling the matter.
Malema faces a complaint of hate speech and harassment.
Outside the court, Malema warned police to stop "provoking" members of the ANCYL who had gathered in the street the road near the court.
"What permission do police want. We do not need a permission to come to court.
"If they do not want us to come here then they should withdraw the case."
Referring to accusations that he had assaulted a police reservists while he was hosting a party at his Sandton home, Malema said it was lie.
"There is a permanent agenda to undermine the ANC leadership and Africans in particular."
He said the reservist who came to his home was a spy sent by DA leader Helen Zille.
