Drugs case postponed

AN INTERNATIONAL drug syndicate case involving three South Africans and three British nationals was postponed to October 12 by the Verulam magistrate's court yesterday.

AN INTERNATIONAL drug syndicate case involving three South Africans and three British nationals was postponed to October 12 by the Verulam magistrate's court yesterday.

The court was told that the state needed more time to investigate the case.

British nationals Paul Bromley, Paul Beazley and John Beazley, and three South African citizens Perumal Naidoo, Morgan Athan Nadasen and Gopal Ganesh were arrested after drugs worth about R600million were seized in Durban and Britain.

London police seized 165kg of heroin concealed in curios at Heathrow Airport on a flight from South Africa.

More drugs were confiscated at a warehouse in the UK.
