LONDON - British police have quizzed Blackburn Rovers striker El-Hadji Diouf over allegations he used racist language in a row with a ball boy during Sunday's 3-0 Premier League defeat to Everton.

The Senegalese international, who appeared to complain the ball was not thrown back to him quickly enough, was questioned after the match at Everton's Goodison Park stadium.

"Police are investigating an allegation of a 28-year-old man using racist language at the Everton match at Goodison Park," said a spokesperson.
