All this debate is totally misplaced if we are to tackle crime effectively. We need to realise that the focus needs to be on what happens from when the crime occurs to sentencing.
The focus rather should be on qualified and skilled criminologists who will dissect the crime scene effectively, dockets that don't go missing and air-tight cases that end up in court for prosecution.
If criminals do get away with their lives they should not get away with the crime.
