Robbers arrested

SWIFT reaction by Limpopo police resulted in the arrest of three men accused of robbing a loan outlet of thousands of rands.

Police acted promptly on a tip-off and rushed to BSS Loans company in Thlogo- btlou where they caught the men in the act on Tuesday.

Police spokesperson Mohale Ramatseba said police recovered a BMW that was to be used as a getaway car, two firearms and an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Groblersdal magistrate's court today on charges of robbery and possession of unlicensed firearms.

Meanwhile, police in Mostorloos in the same area have arrested four Ethiopians in connection with the brutal assault of a man romantically involved with a woman working at their shop. They also smashed his car with stones.

The man had gone to the store to visit his girlfriend when the men started attacking him.

The four are expected to appear in the Groblersdal magistrate's court today on charges of assault and malicious damage to property.
