SOUTH African Roadies Association technical skills trainers Jabulani Zwane and Siviwe Maphukata are off to London.

They will attend the 32nd Plasa Show '09 at Earls Court from September 13 to 16.

Roadies (Sara) president Freddy Nyathela, who will be accompanying the excited trainers, said: "This visit is crucial for international networking objectives of the Professional Lighting and Sound Association, to present our association's initiatives to about 80000 people from about 100 countries."

The Plasa showcase is the leading show-piece of new technology in the entertainment, live event, corporate, architectural and installation industries.

This international event delivers the latest in new technology, products, networking opportunities and an acclaimed educational programme.

Organised by the industry's leading trade body, Sara, which is by far the most established, responsive and influential show ever to serve the entertainment and installation industry, is a very important event on the youth-training organisation's annualcalendar.

The yearly visits give young technicians the chance to attend industry educational seminars, meet with cutting-edge equipment manufactures, acquire strategic assistance for the South African Roadies Association and also to create future opportunities for technically and production oriented South African youth.

Zwane and Maphukata earned their places through excelling in Sara's training programmes and also through being accredited and registered as assessors and moderators under the South AfricanQualificationsAuthority .

The two will also have an opportunity to meet representatives from the National Skills Academy for Creative and Cultural Skills.
