lpurchasing 80 Damara sheep and four rams;

lbuilding a kraal;

lrepairing the water engine;

lrepairing the external fencing for the yard;

ltraining two shepherds;

lbuying a 4x4 bakkie;

lpurchasing a generator, paint and various equipment for overall farm maintenance.

The remainder of the money will help cover operational costs for the next 12 months. The aim is to grow this project into a commercially viable project, which runs the full chain from:

l farming;

labattoir;

lbutchery; and

lprocessed meat production.

The farm will have about 400 cattle, 400 sheep and 200 goats. This should create about 800 jobs.

According to Pieter Beukes, chief executive of Stanford Holdings, a company employed by the Barokologadi to manage the developments, the grand plan is to also develop:

la hotel and conference centre;

la lodge;

la crafts centre; and

lan exclusive area to build houses.
