BRICK-MAKING OPPORTUNITY

AS THE property market begins to signal its recovery, suppliers of building materials are looking forward to an improvement in their business outlook.

AS THE property market begins to signal its recovery, suppliers of building materials are looking forward to an improvement in their business outlook.

It's against this background that the entire contents of a brick-making business in Kempton Park come under the hammer soon.

The sale takes place on site at 98 Lovato Road, Spartan-Kempton Park district on Tuesday at 10.30am.

Instructed by the liquidator, Park Village Auctions will knock down machinery, equipment and vehicles related to the business.

This is inclusive of a Pilot Crushtec screen plant, brick press, press and pan mixer, batching plant, welders, brick stacking gantry, Racoon HT60 skid steer loader, Hitachi hydraulic excavator, three Manitou 300kg stackers, wheel loader, Kennis type 14.000 Bowman crane, Liebherr front end loader, Renault 350 with rear mounted crane, Renault R0521 mechanical horse with trailer and crane, Renault 350 R0586 fitted with HIAB crane, Renault 400 R0496 fitted with Hiab crane, Hyundai LDVs, Mercedes Benz with water tank, assorted trailers and 2008 Jaguar XF.

Also on sale are completed normal and maxi bricks, assorted office furniture and effects. Viewing is on Monday from 10am to 3pm.

Park Village spokesperson Gert Cornelius said: "This is an ideal opportunity for a small to medium size brick manufacturing entrepreneur to either enter the business at a crucial time or indeed to expand his current capacity.

"All indications from economists and other commentators are that the property market will start to recover by the end of the year and will continue to do so into 2010.

"This is underlined by the news that the major banks are beginning to make property loans more freely available once more while the general recovery of the economy will mean a greater demand for DIY materials related to property."
