ARE cashew nuts labelled as "raw" really raw?

All cashew nuts on sale have to be processed in heat in order to release the nut from its inedible shell. Manufacturers label them as "raw" because they have not been roasted or spiced. We should, however, be grateful because the Cashew nuts shell is made up of an inflammable acidic sponge that burns the skin. - Keitumetse Segoai
