Israel still has an outside chance of overtaking Greece and Latvia for second place in Group 2 and a playoff spot for the finals in South Africa.

Israel's chances of qualifying for the first time since the 1970 World Cup were dealt a heavy blow on Saturday when it lost 1-0 at home to Latvia. It now needs Greece and Switzerland to stumble. - Sapa
