THE future looks bright for 1500 graduates who received certificates in Ancillary Health Care.
The graduates are from the Mopani and Vhembe regions and received certificates in Ancillary Health Care NQF Level 1 from the Nchebeko Skills Consultancy College in Tzaneen.
The graduation took place in Shayandima near Thohoyandou in the Vhembe district on Friday.
Chief executive of Nchebeko and Modjadji Further Education and Training Private College Simon Mabelane said the majority of the graduates had not passed matric when they enrolled for the course.
"These are people who have "God given know how" and they are professionally groomed through the recognition of the Prior Learning Course to become professional nurses without having passed biology or English with flying colours," Mabelane said.
Mabelane said some of the graduates had only passed Grade 8 when they enrolled for the course in 2007/08.
He said the course started at the entry level of NQF Level 1 as a career path for the nursing profession up to Level 4, which is equivalent to theAuxiliary Nursing certificate. -Alex Matlala
