THE case against a woman suspected of kidnapping a 14-day-old baby was postponed in the Bellville magistrate's court yesterday, Western Cape police said.

THE case against a woman suspected of kidnapping a 14-day-old baby was postponed in the Bellville magistrate's court yesterday, Western Cape police said.

It was postponed until September 3 for bail information.

"She will remain in custody," said Captain Bernadine Steyn.

Bulelwa Xeza, 31, was arrested on Wednesday in Emfuleni when police found a baby in her house.

The baby was abducted from the Tygerberg Hospital while her mother was in a coma on July 24. - Sapa
