AUBREY McDonald and Stephan Dippenaar are back in the Vodacom Blue Bulls' Under-21 rugby team for Saturday's encounter in Johannesburg against the Lions.

McDonald withdrew with a hamstring injury hours before kickoff of the Leopards game, but he is back to full fitness and will start in the No 11 jersey with Marnitz Boshoff at fullback.

Dippenaar played for the Currie Cup side in last Friday's match.

Dippenaar is playing alongside Simphiwe Mtimkulu in the midfield and the halfback pairing of Louis Boshoff and Ignick Windvogel will again be used against the team from Johannesburg.

As a result of Dippenaar's return, the promising Ernst Dinkelmann will move down to the Under-19 team where he will start at outside centre.

Dinkelmann showed much promise playing for the Under-21 team and he, CJ Stander and JC Roos will definitely use the experience they have gained at senior level to boost the performance of the Under-19s.

After completion of the first round the Bulls' Under-21 team is in second place on the log after winning five of its the first six encounters.

Western Province are topping the log, with the Sharks in third place and Free State fourth. The Lions are in fifth place due to three defeats in their first five outings.

The Under-19 team has played only one league match and tops the log thanks to the 36-8 victory over the Leopards in the first round.
