BLUE Bulls scrumhalf Lohan Jacobs will captain the South African Under-18 rugby team against Namibia in an international friendly at Outeniqua Park in George at 4pm today.

The team includes 14 changes to the starting line-up that comprehensively defeated France 39-3 in Wellington last Saturday. Gerno Eksteen of the Blue Bulls was named vice-captain.

Cheetahs lock Carl Wegner, who represented the SA Schools team in Kimberley earlier this month, is the only player in the High Performance squad that will earn a second start.

"All the players in the squad were told that for the first two matches, everyone would get a start," said coach Eric Sauls. "We want to see all the players in the camp get some game time in order for us to make a fair decision on who the best squad will be for the last international against France on Saturday." - Sapa
