The head of Parliament's sports portfolio committee, Butana Komphela, said Parliament would pass a resolution calling on the UN to declare that the IAAF had committed a "gross violation of Semenya's human rights".
"It must be thoroughly investigated and the IAAF must apologise" he said, describing the IAAF's handling of Semenya's gender testing as "despicable".
Komphela said he had spoken to Semenya on the phone on Sunday.
"She is a strong girl but we cannot allow these practices, because they will continue," Komphela said.
"The old-fashioned way of dealing with issues of race by the IAAF needs to be revamped in line with the changes in the world. We totally condemn what the IAAF has done to that child," said Komphela.
He said there were many other women in the world who looked like Semenya.
