Serial killer deserves death

I WOULD like to raise an issue and I hope that someone will give me an answer or an explanation.

I WOULD like to raise an issue and I hope that someone will give me an answer or an explanation.

I am concerned about the recent sentence handed down to serial killer David Nnana Rannditshene, pictured. The man from the Modimolle area was given 26 times life and 220 years.

Rannditshene is 46 or 47 years old. Now my knowledge of the application or interpretation of the sentence is that according to the current Act of Correctional Services, Act 111 of 1998, he might be considered for parole after completing at least 15 years of his life sentence.

Rannditshene's 26 life sentences effectively mean one life sentence. This also absorbs the 200 years because these sentences, in most cases, run concurrently with a life sentence.

The other problem is that this coward, due to his sexual activities, might already be HIV positive and within one year can become so gravely ill that he would qualify for medical parole.

So this is the type of person I would say deserves the death penalty.

He is not a candidate for rehabilitation.
