Five people were injured in a collision between a minibus taxi and a municipal truck on the N2, east of Knysna yesterday.

Five people were injured in a collision between a minibus taxi and a municipal truck on the N2, east of Knysna yesterday.

Western Cape ER24 paramedics spokesperson Tristan Wadeley said: "All lanes on the N2 road were closed for about 45 minutes while emergency services worked on the scene."

Both drivers were treated for minor injuries, while three occupants of the truck and two of the taxi sustained moderate injuries.

Another minibus taxi went into a roadside ditch when its driver tried to avoid the accident.

No one was injured in that vehicle.

The cause of the accident was not yet known. - Sapa
