Most wanted fugitive rearrested after tip-off

ONE of the most wanted criminals in Mpumalanga, who faces more than 30 violent charges including murder and a cash-in-transit heist, has been re-arrested more than three months after he made a daring escape from the Evander magistrate's court.

Perm Msiza, 28, who also goes by the name of Jacob Masombuka from the former KwaNdebele in Mpumalanga, was also wanted in connection with about 10 serious cases in Gauteng.

Msiza, pictured, and two of his accomplices were arrested earlier in the year and appeared in the Evander magistrate's court on April 25 on charges of armed robbery committed in Kriel, Mpumalanga.

He escaped from the court buildings after the postponement of their case.

Policeapprehended Msiza in Centurion, Tshwane, after a tip-off.

Msiza allegedly committed the crimes between 2006 and 2009.
