MODIMOLLE serial killer David Rannditsheni has a sizeable number of previous convictions.
The Modimolle high court yesterday heard that Rannditsheni, 47, was a serial criminal who had tormented communities in the area for years.
He was first sentenced on July 10 1980 to six months for housebreaking and theft.
On July 1 1982 Rannditsheni was found guilty of theft and sentenced to six months imprisonment.
In the same year he was found guilty of another seven counts of theft and sentenced to four months imprisonment on each count.
On February 8 1999 he was again sentenced for theft - to 90 days, suspended for four months.
Killer is a repeat offender
