Finance cluster runs efficiently

CAN Julius Malema and Ngila Muendane please explain "non-African" leadership in the finance-related departments?

CAN Julius Malema and Ngila Muendane please explain "non-African" leadership in the finance-related departments?

Those departments are about the only ones that have delivered the services required of them for the continued progress of our country. We should accept them as role models and learn from them.

Due to their efficiency, our country has been able to survive severe financial and economic pressures due to inefficiency, corruption and misspending in other departments. South Africa has avoided total collapse largely because we could afford social benefits and other grants resulting from finances and economic policies having been handled according to tried and tested models.

Continued lack of services, collapsing infrastructure, joblessness and severe poverty are not the results of inefficiency from the finance-related departments.

Th e leaders who are being complained about have been granted many years in their departments. They gained valuable experience because the various presidents saw their capabilities . If other ministers and DGs had shown the same potential and capabilities, they too would by now have been in their jobs for many years and would have been able to accumulate expertise and build a stable and efficient staff.

Perhaps I am just a white racist, but the two gentlemen seem to miss an important issue: to appreciate people with proven capability and experience.
