The package is available for owners, jockeys and trainers over the weekend of September 24-26 at the Emerald Cup.
The packages, presented in two, three and four-day combinations, include accommodation at the Emerald Hotel, luxury safari lodges or River Resort as well as race day hospitality and the gala dinner following the running of the Emerald Cup.
The Emerald Cup celebrates its fifth anniversary this year on September 26, with some of the country's top thoroughbreds expected to compete for the R600000 stake.
The event, part of the Emerald Casino Resort's Festival of Racing, includes a stellar line-up of entertainment on race day along with the Emerald Little Hampton race day on September 24. The Grade 2 Emerald Cup will be run over 1450m at the Vaal Racecourse.
"The Emerald Cup debuted in 2004 as the first family race day event in the country and has grown exponentially annually," says Emerald Casino Resort CEO Martin Rice.
Rice says not only has the event become the richest race on sand on the continent, but also the southern hemisphere.
The Emerald Cup and the festival of racing that accompanies it has become one of the Big 6 racing events on the calendar. It has attracted thousands of families and racing enthusiasts to what has become one of the Vaal's most celebrated events.
