Soccer, rugby settlement good for Aces

MPUMALANGA Black Aces and the Mpumalanga Rugby Union have smoked the peace pipe to allow soccer back to the Puma Rugby Stadium

The two parties were at logger-heads towards the end of last season when Aces were expected to pay R21000 a day for a match, forcing Amazayoni to play some of their matches at Ackerville Stadium .

Aces' spokesperson Thabo "T-bose" Moroape, pictured, said they reached a reasonable agreement.

"We will stage our first home match against Moroka Swallows on Wednesday at 8.15pm there," Moroape said yesterday.

"There will be no tickets sold at the gates for the match and as a result we are calling on our supporters to visit Computicket outlets and Shoprite Checkers to avoid disappointment.

Amazayoni will be minus eight players due to injury and or suspension.

The injury list comprises Esau Mtsweni, Jacob "Dukes" Machaka, Oscar Ramogoadi, Lucas Tlhomelang, Lindokuhle Mbatha and Madoda Motha, Kabamba Musasa is serving a four months suspension.
